What can you expect:

The secret to any successful Wedding Film is reliant upon the production company's creativity, along with an inherent understanding of what happens on the day itself and possessing the skill, understanding and anticipation of what will happen next. At Final Cut Film, we have over 20 years experience and offer a fully unobtrusive filming and production service. To make a film work, you have to capture people naturally! One of the traits of a good videographer is that you are unaware of his presence and you don't even remember the film being shot!

Our service starts at the church (or ceremony venue) - we will normally arrive well before the actual time of the ceremony to capture footage of the location and preparations. As your guests start to arrive - we will be there. If you require footage of the bride/groom/bridesmaids getting ready - no problem, just mention this at time of booking.

We will then film everything that happens as your day progresses - up until the time that we have agreed with you that your coverage will finish.

When filming the ceremony itself - whether it be in a church or alternative venue, we try wherever possible to obtain the best filming position to capture one of the most important and emotional aspects of the day - your vows. In some cases, we are restricted by rules set by a particular church or venue as to where they will allow a videographer to stand - for example, some churches only allow filming at the back of the church!!! If you are planning on having your day filmed, it is always useful to ask your ceremony location for about any restrictions that may apply. In cases such as this or where our filming position is not ideal, we will give our grooms the option of wearing a small clip on lapel wireless microphone - this will enable a far superior quality of sound recording of the ceremony/vows etc (we would then remove this at the time of signing the register).

Once your day is over, our work continues...we start the process of editing all of the footage together to create a wonderful story of your day. At the time of booking we will ask you for a selection of music choices that you would like included in your film - these can be supplied at time of booking or at a later stage if booking in advance. These will then be integrated as appropriate into your film - thus creating a truly personal recollection of your special day.

When editing the main film - most of what happens on the day will be included in your film (with church services, we may shorten the hymns by a verse or two - or even the vicars sermon!!! - but again this is your choice).

We round of our films with a short "highlights edit" of the main emotive scenes (invariably shown in slow motion and colour graded - i.e. black & white) from the day - produced with your favourite music choice - this provides a great finale to each of our films (and the point at which we make most of our couples cry!!!)

We take our time to ensure everything contained in your film looks and sounds perfect - that's why we say to you that you can expect your first copy of your completed DVD to be ready 4-6 weeks after the date of your wedding. This copy will be for you to review and approve - on the basis that you are happy (minor changes can be made in terms of music selection, removal of shots etc) we will then provide you with your additional 2 copies - all supplied in professional high quality presentation cases, and all
included in the price.
